A modern steel production line is a highly automated and continuous complex system, with the core objective of efficiently transforming raw materials into high-quality, high-precision steel products. A complete line typically begins at the raw material yard, where iron ore and coal are sintered and carbonized before being sent, along with flux, into a blast furnace for smelting to produce molten iron. This molten iron is then transported to a basic oxygen furnace (BOF) or electric arc furnace (EAF) for refining. Through oxygen blowing and the addition of alloying elements, its composition and temperature are adjusted to obtain qualified molten steel.
